• Add ¼ teaspoon of mustard seeds in a tablespoon of water. Keep it there for one hour.
• Now drink this water like you take a regular oral tonic.
• Repeat it for two to three times a day to get rid of loose stools.
2. Lemonade
Lemon juice has anti inflammatory properties that will help in easily clearing the stomach. It is one of the tried and tested home remedies for loose motion for many decades.

• Extract the juice from one full lemon. Add 1 teaspoon of salt and a tablespoon of sugar to it. Mix it well.
• Now consume this lemonade every hour till you feel that the toxins in your intestines have been flushed out.
• It would be better off for you to use this concoction for three days to clear all the toxins in your stomach.
• Make sure that you consume just soup or broth or semi solid food for a couple of days before returning back to your normal diet.
3. Pomegranate
Pomegranate is a fruit that will help in reducing the loose motion problems that you are suffering from effectively.

• Eating the pomegranate seeds during loose motion will help in reducing the symptoms and stopping lose motion. Make sure that you eat two fruits a day to reduce loose motions.
• You can also blend the pomegranate seeds in a mixer and extract its juice. Drink a glass of this juice at least three times a day to see effective results.
• You can also drink the water that is brought to boiling point with pomegranate leaves soaked in it.
4. Methi Or Fenugreek Seeds
Fenugreek has antibacterial and anti fungal properties and is also an excellent home remedy to fight loose stools.
• Take one to two teaspoons of dried fenugreek seeds and powder it in a blender to reduce it into fine powder.
• Now mix this powder in a glass of water and take it every day in the morning on an empty stomach for two to three days to completely get relief from loose motions.

5. Honey
Honey is a natural medicine that can cure a lot of health problems and is very effective in fighting loose stools.
• Take a teaspoon of fresh and pure honey. It would be better if you get hold of organic honey.
• Add ½ a teaspoon of cinnamon powder and the pure honey in a glass of warm water. Mix it well.
• Drink this water on empty stomach early in the morning. Then repeat the same at least two times in the day to cure your bladder infection. You will see visible results in two days time.


6. Buttermilk
Buttermilk is considered to be a health drink in India and is very effective in soothing the digestive system and bringing it back on track. The acid in the buttermilk has the ability to fight bacteria and germs and to soothe your digestive system.
• Add a teaspoon of salt and a pinch or black pepper powder or jeera powder or turmeric powder and mix well.
• Drink this buttermilk at least two to three times a day to get rid of loose stools.

Rubbing your eyes doesn’t directly cause wrinkles, but the pulling motion causes the thin, delicate skin around the eyes to crease back and forth, which leads to the appearance of premature aging over time. Natural Remedies for Darkness around Mouth and Lips



Lemon juice: Lemon juice is one of the most efficient bleaching agent. Apply lemon juice around the mouth and lips, over the dark skin and gently rub it. Leave this for the entire night and wash in the morning. You will soon get excellent results in getting rid of the darkness around mouth.
Lemon and honey: Apply a mixture of lemon and honey around the mouth to reduce the darkness around mouth and lips. This simple home remedy will make sure that the dark skin pigmentation is reduced and also the dry skin get moisturized. Honey will and extra nourishment around the skin near lips.

Tomato juice: Use tomato juice over the dark skin and leave it for 30 minutes. Wash with tepid water. Tomato juice has lycopene and comes with amazing skin lightening properties. Due to this the darkness around mouth will be reduced effectively. You will have to do it every day in the evening for best results. Tomato juice will also lighten the sun tan.

Rose water and glycerin: Other than the darkness around mouth there can be dryness around the lips too hence this mixture of rose water and glycerin will help a lot. To moisturize the dry skin near the mouth you have to mix rose water and glycerin in equal amount and then massage gently. Leave this for overnight like a pack and wash in the morning. Dryness will be gone!
Aloe vera gel: Aloe vera gel is a good soothing agent. It will also remove the darkness due to over exposure of the sun and sun tanning. Apply freshly extracted aloe vera gel around the dark skin near the mouth and leave for the entire night. Try this daily for 2-3 weeks and you will see noticeable results in the removal of darkness around mouth and lips.

Other than the above mentioned methods you can also try packs to reduce the darkness of skin near the lips and mouth naturally.
Sandalwood and turmeric: Sandalwood and turmeric pack is an excellent combination to lighten and whiten the skin. You can whiten the dark skin near the mouth with the help of this simple home remedy. Mix half teaspoonful of sandalwood powder with some water and add 1 pinch of turmeric powder in it. Apply over the darkness around mouth and wait for 25 minutes. Wash off and apply a light moisturizer which will give the hydration on the dryness.

Gram flour pack: If you have extremely dry and dark skin around the mouth then this treatment will help you. Take half teaspoonful of gram flour (besan) and some almond oil to make a paste. Apply this paste on the dry skin and leave it for 15 minutes. Wash off with water. This is not for oily acne prone skin at all only for very dry skin.
Scrubs to get rid of the darkness around mouth
You can also try scrubs to remove the dryness and dark skin around the mouth and lips in a natural way.

Oatmeal scrub: Take 1 teaspoonful of oatmeal and make paste with some water. Apply this scrub to exfoliate the dry skin and then leave it for 15 minutes to lighten the darkness around the mouth.

Sugar and lemon juice: Mix sugar and lemon juice to make paste and use over the mouth. Be gentle and exfoliate. This glycolic acid in sugar and skin lightening properties of lemon juice will whiten the darkness around the mouth.
With the regular use of any of the above mentioned home remedies for dark skin around the mouth, you will see good results in getting rid of the darkness around mouth skin and the dryness around the lips.

Doing scalp exfoliation |focusing on the scalp and roots



Scalp exfoliation, washing your hair less can mean you need to focus more on getting the sebum and oils worked down the hair shaft, and keeping your scalp clean. scalp scrubbing has been an absolute MUST for be lately in my ROM routine, besides scritching and preening.

These scalp scrubs are all no-poo/low-poo/ROM/water-only friendly, aka, they won’t mess with your hair ‘washing’ routine (whatever that entails for you).These mixes can be repeated weekly, if needed.
Feel free to mix and match scrubbing ingredients with moisturizing and/or problem-solving ingredients. everyone’s different, but i’ve included a few of my favorite recipes below the ingredients list:

INGREDIENTS:
exfoliators:

  • MSM powder – stimulate hair growth and follicle strength
  • salt – normal to oily hair only
  • ground almonds (almond meal)- all hair types; gentle

moisturizers:

  • pure aloe (like Lily of the Desert) – soothing for all hair types; increases shine and softness
  • raw honey – soothing for troubled and/or dry scalps; increases shine
  • organic conditioner – if you use conditioner
Problem-solvers


  • essential oils – wide variety of types of uses (ex: rosemary and sandalwood for growth stimulation; tea tree oil for dandruff; lavender for irritation; etc)
  • apple cider vinegar – soothes dandruff, ph-balancing (detangler), helps clear product build-up, helps with dry scalp, helps with itch
  • witch hazel – clarifying, helps with itchy, dry, irritated scalps

HOW-TO:
No matter which ingredients you mix and match, you’ll want roughly these overall ratios (of course you can play around with them):

  • 1 part exfoliators
  • 1.5 part moisturizers
  • 1/3 part acv/witch hazel
  • 5-10 drops EOs
  • mix all ingredients together in a bowl and apply to scalp before washing (or can be used indepently between washes). let sit for 10-15 minutes and rinse very well with warm water.

FAVORITE COMBOS:
dry, itchy, flakey scalp

  • 3 spoonfuls ground almonds or MSM powder (whichever you have handy)
  • 1.5 spoonful raw honey
  • 2 spoonfuls pure aloe
  • 1/2 spoonful ACV
  • 5 drops tea tree oil EO and/or 5 drops lavender EO

Oily scalp

  • 3 spoonfuls salt (i have the Real Salt brand and really like it)
  • 2 spoonfuls raw honey

Product build-up

  • 2 spoonfuls ground almonds
  • 1 spoonful salt
  • 3 spoonfuls aloe
  • 1 spoonful acv

Stimulate hair growth

  • 3 spoonfuls MSM powder
  • 2 spoonfuls pure aloe
  • 5 drops rosemary EO
  • 5 drops sandalwood EO

AR’s current favorite

  • 3 spoonfuls MSM powder
  • 1 spoonful raw honey
  • 1 spoonful pure aloe
  • 1/2 spoonful acv
  • 10 drops lime EO

To lose weight, we need to eat and drink fewer kilo joules that we use. Choosing foods from the Australian Dietary Guidelines will help us choose foods that provide the most nutrients, without the extra kilo joules. For example eating more colored vegetables and salad will keep us feeling fuller for fewer kilo joules. In fact making half our meals colored vegetables or salad and having smaller portions of the other foods, we can reduce the kilo joules by up to half.

There recommended number of serves can be used to plan meals and snacks for weight loss. Following the serves from the Five Food Groups and avoiding discretionary foods will help most people lose weight while staying healthy. Younger men, people who are taller than average or more active may find they need to include the ‘additional serves’.

Nuts: From hazelnuts to pecans, all nuts are good for your heart. Walnuts, especially, deliver heart-healthy fats. But don’t overdo it. Just because the fats are healthy doesn’t mean you can eat as much as you want. A serving is 1 ounce. That’s about 14 walnut halves, 24 almonds, 35 peanuts, 18 cashews, or 15 pecan halves.
Avocado: Eat it on your sandwich, or serve it up in guacamole. Tasty avocado is good for your heart and may help with osteoarthritis symptoms, thanks to healthy fats. An extra benefit?  When you eat avocado with other foods, it helps your body better absorb their nutrients. Half a medium avocado is one serving and about 115-160 calories.

Olive Oil: Whether you’re cooking or dressing your salad, try olive oil. It’s high in good fat. Remember, though: It’s always smart to watch how much fat (even good fat ) you eat. So cook with less oil than a recipe calls for. Or use an olive oil spray. In baking, you can use applesauce for half the oil to cut back on some fat and shave calories.
Vegetables: Dark green veggies like spinach, kale, and Brussels sprouts offer some omega 3s. Because our bodies can’t make these good fats, you have to get them from food. Aim for 2-3 cups of vegetables every day. Include fish in your diet, too, since fish have a different kind of omega-3 fat that you need. Plants only offer a fraction of the omega-3s that fish do.

Eggs: Eggs are a great source of inexpensive protein, and a large egg has less than 5 grams of fat, most from healthy fats. Some eggs are also enriched with extra omega-3s. It will say so on the carton. To stay healthy, limit yourself to just one egg a day.
