Have you ever awoken from sleep in mid night ,and couldn’t move or talk? Here is the reason

It might even feel like something is pressing on you, or lurking above your bed. This is a condition called sleep paralysis, and it’s seriously one of the most bizarre scariest things to happen to anyone.

Some people believe it is a trick the brain plays on us, and some people believe it signifies an evil and sinister presence. But what do you think? When it happens, it can often be accompanied with hallucinations, which I imagine would make the whole ordeal even more terrifying.

During a persons normal sleep, a sleeper’s body and brain activity slows down as she or he falls in to a nice cosy sleep. It then speeds up again as the sleeper enters rapid eye movement (REM) sleep. The most vivid dreams happen during REM which usually occurs 1.5-2 hours in to your sleep, and repeats a few times throughout the night.

Some people believe that this kind of paralysis happens because of sleep deprivation, irregular sleeping patterns, and sleeping on ones back.Others believe there is something much more mysterious behind its occurrence. Has this ever happened to you? We would love to hear from you.
